Privacy Policy

We don't collect, sell, or share your data. Everything stays on your device.

Last updated · 3 May 2026

The short version. Café Ivrit is a Hebrew learning app. It runs entirely on your device. We have no servers that store your data, no analytics SDK, no advertising network, and no third-party trackers. If you delete the app, every trace of your usage is gone.

1. What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

The app has no servers that store your personal data.

2. Data that stays on your device

The following is stored only on your device using Apple's standard iOS storage (UserDefaults / SwiftData). It is never transmitted to us or any third party:

You can erase all of it at any time by deleting the app.

3. Microphone & speech recognition

If you tap a "speak" feature, the app asks permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. This is used only to compare your pronunciation to the reference Hebrew word.

You can revoke microphone or speech permission any time in iOS Settings → Café Ivrit.

4. Notifications

If you opt in to notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device to remind you about your daily streak. We do not send push notifications from a server.

5. Children

Café Ivrit is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children — because we do not collect information from anyone.

6. Third parties

Café Ivrit does not include third-party SDKs that collect data, analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking pixels.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy (for example, if a future version of the app adds an account system), we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and describe the change.
